| Darlings, I bring you a review of the Doc Johnson™ iVibe® Booster Rocket. This is a cool little gadget that has the features to keep things interesting for a long, long time. The Booster Rocket is available in three fun flavors, er I mean, colors: Strawberry, Grape, and Blueberry. So what exactly is a Booster Rocket? Simply put, it provides a lot more fun for a standard iVibe vibrator.
The iVibe by itself is a cute little vibrator perfect for carrying in your purse or slipping into an evening bag. It operates on a single AA battery and provides steady vibration at one speed via a small motor in the tip of the unit. The base of the unit has a small port, like a headphone jack, where you can plug in a cable that connects it to the Booster Rocket unit. This is where the iVibe really comes to life.
The Booster Rocket puts the iVibe on steroids by amping up the fun with ten speeds and several fabulous functions: Vibrate, Pulsate, Surge, Escalate, and Roller Coaster. Below I have summarized each function.
- Vibrate – steady vibration at whichever of the ten speeds you select
- Pulsate – shorts bursts of vibration
- Surge – two short bursts followed by one long burst; cycle then repeats
- Escalate – starts out with low vibration, builds to peak levels, drops immediately to low levels again; cycle then repeats
- Roller Coaster – very slowly builds from low vibration to peak levels, then slowly falls back down to low vibration; cycle then repeats.
The Booster Rocket operates on 3 AA batteries (not included). When using the iVibe Booster Rocket you can remove the single battery from the iVibe itself – it’s not needed as the iVibe gets sufficient power from the Booster. Two buttons control the Booster Rocket. The Speed button turns the unit on or off and is used to adjust the speed from low to high. A ten stage LED display lets you see what speed you are at. The other button steps up or down through the five available functions. A single lit LED denotes which function is currently selected.
What I like about the iVibe Booster Rocket is it is simple to use. You don’t need to read a manual, ladies! If you can use the channel up/down on your television remote, you can use this product. I also like being able to use the iVibe stand-alone, when I want something small and portable for travel. The cable that connects the two units was not much of an issue, although I do hope future models will become wireless. It seems like everything is going wireless these days, or at least that’s why my techno-nerd lover keeps telling me.
The iVibe is available where Doc Johnson products are sold.
