This particular game is designed for adult parties where two or more couples will be participating. In fact, up to 10 couples can play. As the title indicates, the game is intended for monogamous couples, but would also work as an icebreaker for couples participating in soft swinging or on the edge of experimenting with swinging in general. Keep in mind that this is a party-oriented game for multiple couples, not a game for one couple to play during a quiet, romantic evening at home, unlike some of the other games reviewed on SiliconSlave.

Once you pop the DVD into the player, the Sexploration Games menu appears with five options: About This Game, Safe Sex Tips, Setup and Tweaking, Bonus Features, and finally Play The Game. The About This Game section is an excellent place to start as it gives a brief overview of what’s on the disc and a summary of game play. The Safe Sex Tips area provides some commonsense advice on using protection during sexual activity. The Setup and Tweaking menu item is useful for aligning the colors, brightness, and contrast of your television to ensure the best game experience. Also, this menu selection allows players to tailor the game to female bi-sexuality preferences (on or off). Bonus Features contains additional mini-games such as Sexploration Roulette and Sexploration Charades.

Once you select Play The Game with your remote control, the fun begins. The heart of game play involves choosing different colored card “icons” with point values of 1, 5, 10, and 15 points. The greater the point value, the more risqué the activity is that the couple choosing the card has to perform. Using the DVD remote control, each team selects a card icon corresponding to the intensity that they are comfortable with. Alcohol hasn’t kicked in yet? No problem! Just choose one of the 1- or 5-point cards and ease into the game. Sometimes when you have several couples coming together to play, not everyone is at the same comfort level. With this game, each individual can choose cards that correspond to their personal level of comfort – an excellent feature.

Darlings, there’s more. Some of the cards selected have different graphical images associated with them. These images include All Play, Buddy Points, Call to Action, and Circle Game. With All Play, the challenge on the card is open for any of the couples to tackle. The Circle Game indicator means the challenge requires all participants to arrange themselves in a boy-girl circle. The Call to Action icon means the player will need to recruit other players in the completion of the challenge. Buddy Points allows the player’s recruits to receive points for their participation in the challenge. These elements spice up the game and keep it interesting.

For you ladies out there, if you are like the Diva then you like to be in control. One of the “rules” of Sexploration Games - Intense Games is that the women control all elements of the flow of the game. I have not seen this in any of the other games I’ve played or reviewed, making this a novel component of this game. The women playing the game form a “Woman Council” to rule on any questions or decisions that have to be made during the course of normal game play. For example, if one of the cards directs a couple to perform an activity that has a degree of subjectivity as to whether they completed it successfully or not, the Woman Council decides whether or not the points should be awarded or if the couple should have to re-do the exercise. Girlfriends, you will love this aspect of the game and you can have a lot of fun with it.

When players are ready to end the game they click on End Games. A neat feature of the game is that it adjusts the End Games activity based on the how timidly or aggressively the main game was played. Accept a lot of 15-point challenges and you’re rewarded in the End Games section with a steamier outcome there.

Some games on the market have the feel like they were developed by a bunch of suits sitting around a conference room table at some mega-corporation. Sometimes you wonder with some games whether or not the people designing the game actually played it or not. Not with this game. Sexploration Games – Intense Games is very well thought-out and is a total blast to play with friends. If you know the Diva you know I’m picky about a lot of things. This game, however, is fabulous and one that you will enjoy over and over for many years of fun-filled use.
