Looks like another DVD showed up at the lab and this time it is Robby D.’s third film for Digital Playground – “Beat the Devil.” Robby D.’s influence is seen throughout this film as he had the opportunity to write and direct. Of historic interest to all you Jesse Jane fans out there is that this film features her first Boy-Girl scene where she has some hot sex with Mark Davis. Jesse Jane shows her famous flexibility and gives the best splits plus doggie style your good doctor has seen in a long time.
Even though Jesse Jane looks really good in this film thanks to the wardrobe and stylization of Celeste (formerly worked with Andrew Blake), the performance of Evan Stone really stole the show. Evan Stone was so over the top as Belial, that it turned what could have been an okay movie into a great movie. Of course the great music brought to you in digital 5.1 surround sound and the excellent cinematography couldn’t hurt in boosting this features value.
This film doesn’t skimp on the extras either. There are some quick-frame subliminal messages interspersed throughout to reinforce the ambience of the film as well as great commentary. The commentary and the behind the scenes footage really gives insight into the actors and director and helps you associate with the characters and pick up the extras that you may have missed (who says porn is completely shallow). The one thing that I think would have made this film better is if the sex scenes were a little more varied and if Jana Cova and Angel Long could have had some great doggie style scenes.
As far as the story goes, it starts out with a cripple played by Eric Masterson who makes a deal with the devil for health, sex, and wealth. Eric uses his new found health to pimp him and his girlfriends out to make him wealthy, but such a draining life literally sucks the life out of him and he starts to have age related performance issues. Along the way Eric finds Bella Donna (Jesse Jane) who turns out to be the black widow of sex in that once you are with her, you are as good as meat. She has a very toxic effect on her partners. Eric bets Belial (Evan Stone) his soul right then for 30 more years of good times if the Devil can outlast Bella Donna. Of course it wouldn’t be “Beat the Devil” if Belial won, so Jesse Jane screws Evan Stone into submission and takes out the Devil. The aging effect is reversed on Eric and the Devil’s last scene shows him still suffering the numbing effect of a bout with Jesse Jane.
Nurse, get me some lube as I think I need to watch the scene with Jesse Jane and Mark Davis again! Jesse will leave you crunched over on the floor the same way she left Mark if you watch that scene too many times. So breakout your favorite sex toy, entice your partner into some quality movie watching time and if you are lucky she’ll let you play doctor with her too.
