Recently while attending InterNext in Las Vegas, your good doctor ran into a company that specializes in personal (very personal) grooming and I was given a sample of their products to review. PersonalShavers specializes in marketing intimate shaving products to all those that answered yes to my prior questions. They sell a one-two combination that is the ideal shaving kit for knocking out those pesky hairs near your privates. The products that they sent SiliconSlave for this review include body bare™ shave anywhere rechargeable razor and the Feminine trimmer. PersonalShavers also included some baby powder and a powder brush to make sure that the shaving was done right.

So what makes this product special? A few of the things that immediately struck me were that the body bare rechargeable razor is compact, solid feeling, and has just the right surface area for its intended task. The head of the razor is just 1 and ¼ inches in diameter with a length of 3 and ¾ inches. This size is important because when it comes to shaving near your privates, big just doesn’t cut it (or maybe it might cut too much). You need the right sized tool to be able to get close but not too close and if you are shaving ass-crack hair then as far as I am concerned, I wouldn’t want anything bigger than this between my cheeks. Think of it like a super-sized stick of lipstick with a foil head. The foil head is what separates you from a powerful motor spinning three sharp blades. With basic care and maintenance the manufacturer claims that you’ll get two years of regular use before needing to replace the blades.

The combination of the Feminine trimmer and the body bare rechargeable razor work great together. Shaving is a two step process if your hair is more than stubble. Foil razors are not designed to cut longer hair, so break out the Feminine trimmer. I used the Feminine trimmer to knock down some of the longer hairs on my chest, stomach and privates. The Feminine trimmer should be used to trim the hair till it is stubble (prime target for the body bare razor). I noticed that the Feminine trimmer also works great for getting rid of side-burns.

Once I was down to stubble I used the included retractable powder brush to apply a light layer of baby powder. The baby powder absorbs moisture and helps ensure that the body bare razor can glide smoothly over your body. I used the body bare to clean-up stubble around my nipples (look ma no razor bumps). The next stage was a bit of a leap for me as I never had a great experience shaving near my penis or scrotum. So with a trepid anticipation I started to circle in on my privates. I must say that I was quite pleased with the results. The foil helped keep the blades from nicking my skin and its size made it easy to navigate. I found that my scrotum cleaned up baby bottom smooth as did the rest. No pain, no discomfort, and no razor burn.

When shaving your privates it is important that you consider the following suggestions. If you have never done this before you may experience some itching. The itching is caused by a couple of things – one is moisture and the other is hair growing back. To take care of the moisture, baby powder works wonders. Good bye sweaty ball syndrome and jock itch. To combat the hair regrowth itch, plan on shaving regularly. The last thing you want is a stubbly crotch. You won’t enjoy it and your partner won’t appreciate the whisker rubs. You can always decide not to shave the area above your penis so that when grinding on your partner you won’t risk stubble rubbing them raw.

If this is your first time going bare then you will notice that you have a heightened sense of feeling in the scrotum and vaginal area. Your partner will also appreciate that they don’t have to spit out as many hairs during oral sex. It also makes clean-up a breeze and you don’t have to worry about someone pointing out your tropical rain forest of a bush. If you don’t go bare, then nicely trimmed says a lot about your personal hygiene and both of these products will help you keep nice and groomed.

The body bare rechargeable razor cleans up easily. You can unscrew the top and pull out the blade caddy. A supplied razor brush can be used to safely clean off the blades as well as brush out the catch basin. A little oil on the blades to help keep them sharp and you are done. The Feminine trimmer can be dusted off from any left-over trimmings and it is ready to go as well. These products are meant to be used as dry shavers (baby powder is okay) so don’t take them in the shower or bath. The manufacturer claims about 30 minutes of shave time for the body bare rechargeable razor and it has a nice little light to indicate that it is charging. I found that 30 minutes was about right. It has a small adapter that plugs into its bottom so it can plug discretely into any wall jack. About every three shaves plug it in and you should be fine. The Feminine trimmer runs on a single AA battery (included) and I think you should be able to get a few months use out of it depending on quality of battery and area to be trimmed.

Overall, I like this package. It comes discretely packaged and construction seems to be of decent quality. The product works well and should give you plenty of service and plenty of baby smooth skin. Even if you use a regular electric razor to mow down the large areas, use the body bare rechargeable razor to add that finishing touch for that special someone to notice.
