 Taking
a break from the lab, I had the chance to check out the 2006 Adult
Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas in the Sands Convention Center. I
had the good fortune to book an interview with top adult star,
Janine. She stars in the latest blockbuster from Digital
Playground: Pirates. Since she is such an icon of the adult
industry, I thought it would be a good opportunity to get her take on
sex toys and other thoughts on the adult industry. So here goes
the interview…Dr. Phreakenstein: As far as sex toys go, do you have a favorite toy or any that you use on a regular basis? Janine: I’ve got four. They are pretty standard. I have a larger great one for standard vaginal use. I have been exploring a lot with my anal ones. I don’t know what they are called. Dr. Phreakenstein: Butt Plugs? Janine: I love the ones that you can just leave in and leave the house. Dr. Phreakenstein: So you have actually done that? Janine: Yes, in fact I am wearing one right now. Dr. Phreakenstein: Can we get a shot of that? Janine: Hah. I was looking for one with a remote; I like the idea of a significant other or even a fan dictating when I get a little buzz. That’s hot!  Dr. Phreakenstein: Have you ever had a toy line or are you endorsing toys? Janine: Yes, quite a few Janine toys through Doc Johnson. I also like the glass pieces. They look like statues. Glass figures with the swirls. You know what I experienced for the first time? Its called Rush and it is a little bottle you sniff. It gets you all light headed. It was fun. It was good. It makes you want to do bad things to your anus. Hehe or good things! Dr. Phreakenstein: When playing with toys or partners, do you have a favorite lubricant? Janine: I’ve got to explore, I was just trying the thicker gel like Astroglide™ and I wasn’t happy with that. It didn’t stay wet enough. I am personally a very juicy girl and I don’t use too much lube but for anal I don’t have a favorite yet – I have to try more. Dr. Phreakenstein: Have you tried any of the silicone based lubes – especially for anal? Janine: No Dr. Phreakenstein: In your experience has there been any scary toys? A toy that really stood out – like holy crap keep that thing away from me. Janine: The big mother-lode ones that are half the size of my torso. Those I don’t want to touch. I wouldn’t want to go too big and reek too much havoc on my parts. I like to keep my parts pretty tight and intact, not blown wide open. I am willing to venture and try anything. Surprising that I am 37 and been in the adult industry 20 years and I haven’t tried that many toys. I was 18 when I did my first centerfold for Penthouse™. I’ve been around sex so much it is surprising that I don’t have more toys. Dr. Phreakenstein: Any advice for our readers on how to spice up their sex lives?  Janine: When it comes to my sex, I go back to the basics. Its not about the toys or circus act, its not about the movies, or this or that – its about communication and absolutely opening up 100%, leaving your insides completely open and vulnerable and saying exactly what your fantasies are. What you thought about in the past, even if it is taboo things you swore that you would never talk about. Once that opens up and you can explore the deep dark side, you can become intimate and the sex is beyond anything that you have ever had. With me and my fiancée we have opened up so much and now we are closer and we can act on certain things and do certain things that he never thought he would find a partner to embrace the way he does and I am right there – what ever you want. So we can go to that place in his head and act on it and vice versa. There are deep dark fantasies of mine that he knows. Dr. Phreakenstein: Any examples of those that you would be willing to share? Janine: I know, I know. Its private, it’s something only he and I know. So get yourself a good bottle of wine or something to open you up and fucking say it, say it. Hopefully you don’t have a partner that gets freaked out and runs out the door. In my case its not that way, we embrace each other more because of it. Dr. Phreakenstein: You have had a lot of opportunity to work for other companies, what has brought you to Digital Playground? Janine: Digital just raises the bar, the product that they put out is so superior. I was with Vivid™ for many years and they are a high quality company as well, but there is something more here with Digital. They have more passion about the product, you know they are eager to push themselves.    Janine: Yes, exactly. Digital is hungry for a good product and I love that. When they are hungry and I am hungry and they let me do what I want to do. Dr. Phreakenstein: Is there any upcoming exciting stuff that you want our readers to be watching out for? Janine: Well they are going to have consistent movies coming out. There are two that are being discussed right now, one is big budget, same kind of budget as Pirates a futuristic film that we don’t have a title for yet. That’s in the works and it should be just mind boggling as well as Pirates II (Serena Lives). Dr. Phreakenstein: So I take it that you are going to be in that? Janine: Oh yeah, I better be.  Janine: Well depending on how old they are, I am not one to condone 18, 19 20 – I would rather them stay in school and have a little back up plan. You know porn's not going anywhere and they can do the whole porn life after they go to school. Once porn is done you have to have something to fall back on. If the girl is already in the business she can have a great time in it, its been wonderful for me and provided for me and my family and I have nothing bad to say about the industry but you have got to pace yourself, you just can’t go balls out and do everything and wear yourself out. You don’t have to go to every party, you don’t have to get drugged out of your mind. You don’t have to try and do everything everybody will try to make you do. Stick to your guns, stick to what you know, stick to what you like, and stay true to you.  Dr. Phreakenstein: Do you have a favorite location or place you have done a shoot? Janine: In the rain, I love wet sex. Water scenes, anything that has to do with sex in the water, rain, or the mud – when you get to just let your guard down – makeup is running, hair is wet. Dr. Phreakenstein: Sounds like Island Fever 3. So perhaps Island Fever 4? Janine: I haven’t seen it but they are talking about Island Fever 4. Dr. Phreakenstein: Anybody inspire you into the business? Janine: Raquel Darrian. She was a Penthouse Pet™ when I was a Penthouse Pet and I remember doing a Penthouse video when I was in Hawaii with all the pets and I think it was called Pets in Paradise or something like that. There was five or six Penthouse Pets and Raquel stood apart because she also worked in adult films and I was “Wow she is such a bad girl.” I thought that was so daring and I was so intrigued that she had the balls to do that and I think that was the first glimpse of a breathtakingly beautiful woman just taking charge of her life and doing what she wanted to do and that kind of got my little wheels thinking. Dr. Phreakenstein: Wrestlers have signature moves, is there a Janine trademarked move? Janine: I would say “Good Girl”, you know “Good Girl” or “Good Boy” a lot. That’s all I know. If she is taking it like a champ then I’ll go “Good Girl” and I have been called on that a few times. Dr. Phreakenstein: Do you have a favorite Girl-Girl scene? Janine: This recent one with Jesse Jane with Pirates where she allowed me to violate her anus with a candle. Her and I are both alpha females and for her and I to go head to head and kind of wrestle around a bit.  Dr. Phreakenstein: So in Pirates II do you get the candle treatment? Janine: Hell no, I am bigger than her. Dr. Phreakenstein: They make big candles. Janine: Possibly, I’ll take it. Sure why not. Dr. Phreakenstein: How about a guy-girl scene? Janine: There is going to be some guy-girl scenes possibly to cross over to the big A. I might do a little anal? Dr. Phreakenstein: Shove a few candles up the guys butts? Janine: Oh god I wish! That would be so great. Dr. Phreakenstein: Have you ever filmed one where you just strapped one on and went and nailed a guy. Janine: Thanks for asking that! Oh yeah!  Dr. Phreakenstein: How’s the boyfriend with something like that? Janine: He’ll let me do whatever I want. He’s a giver. I let him do whatever he wants. He lets me do whatever I want. In the future, I can’t wait to strap that baby on. Dr. Phreakenstein: What say do you have in stud selection? Janine: Oh, I have all the say. 100 percent, they can suggest and I don’t mind listening to their suggestions. You know there are a lot of guys in the business that I am not aware of yet. They’ll tell me who is good, who is professional. I like good professional guys, but I also like guys with personality - a little quirkiness, fun to work with. Dr. Phreakenstein: Any particular guys you like to work with? Janine: Oh yeah there is all kinds of guys. The one that comes to my mind right now is Evan Stone, he rocks my world, he makes things happen to my body that I didn’t even know. His personality is wonderful. There have been a lot of guys from Manuel to Mitch Marcus and Sean Michaels to Scott Nails, on and on. I have been very fortunate.
